Brigadoon is a Scottish fantasy about a town that disappears into the Highland mist and returns for only one day every one hundred years.
Two american hunters get lost in a forest. Then they see Brigadoon, a small village, not on the map.
They had to convince themselves that this village belong not to the real but to the dream world.
This is a tribute to simplicity, true love and goodness, which is hidden from the ordinary traveler.
It is a magical place.
It represents the quiet, safe, satisfying life we all wish we could have.
In the movie Mr. Lundy, the schoolmaster was explaining the miracle of the village and summarized his thoughts about the world outside,
“There must be an awful lot of folk out there searching for a Brigadoon.”
